When I was a kid, I believe between the ages of 6-8 years old, two certain relatives would come to visit and stay with us when I was living in San Diego. Let’s just say their names were “Jenny” and her daughter “Leah” for this story. I loved when family came to visit. Especially when they came because I don’t get to see them too often so it makes it that much more special.
I remember me, my sister and Leah riding in the backseat and a TLC song came on. I love TLC! So we started singing and had to choose which member we were going to be. I wanted to be T-Boz. I loved her hair. I wanted hair like that! Leah chose her first. I told her I wanted to be T-Boz but she said I had to be Chili. My sister got Left Eye. There’s nothing wrong with Chili at all. It was the principle of the fact that I didn’t get to choose first. I was the oldest, therefore I should get first dibs! LMAO!!! Growing up, quite a few of my friends said that I looked like Chili. Sexiness :).
Another relative , we’ll call him “John”, took me, my sister, Jenny and Leah to this woman’s house. We’ll name her “Carly”. She had a daughter which we’ll name “Becky”. When I met them, I asked Jenny who she was. Jenny told me she was John’s girlfriend. NOT TRUE! John was married with kids. Jenny was, and still is, hella triflin’! That’s not something you should be saying to a small child, especially when they don’t know what a situation like that may mean. So of course I had mentioned it when I got home. NOT COOL. SMH.
Me, my sister and Leah spent our time outside playing with Becky while Jenny and Carly were hanging out inside. I remember me and Beck did not get along at all. I was very nice and respectful to her. Yet, she was so mean to me. She always had a nasty attitude when speaking to me only. She was just totally unfriendly and was not remotely interested in my presence what so ever. I just wanted to play with her. Becky and Leah seemed to be like besties though. I don’t know if they had already known each other prior to this visit.
From what I recall, Leah wanted to play some sort of card game. I was actually pretty excited. I love games! Still to this day, I love a good card game and board game. I had never played the game before. I cant remember what the game was called. Becky dealt the cards between the four of us. All of a sudden, Becky yells at me saying “There’s not enough cards so you can’t play!” BIH!! She snatched the cards right out of my hands. That was the breaking point for me. I got up and ran. I hid somewhere and just cried. My sister came looking for me and saw me crying and took off to find Carly. My sister came back with Carly. Carly asked what was wrong and I explained that Becky was mean, she wouldn’t let me play cards and snatched them out of my hands. Carly was pissed! Next thing I see is Carly going off on Becky. She then channeled the strength of Hercules and tore the stack of cards right in half with only ONE tear! It was amazing. Pure satisfaction! Becky eventually came back out to apologized. Yeah whatever. She only apologized because Carly made her. It is what it is.
Finally John came to pick us up! Finally!!!! Happy!!! I been ready to go home!!! We said our goodbyes and took off. That was the first and last time I’ve seen Carly and Becky. It’s for the best.
One other thing that I remember from my visit was that either Carly or Becky had a light mustache. I remember I kept staring at it. That was my first experience seeing a female with a mustache. It was fascinating.
Oh, and one last thing. BECKY. IF I SEE YOU OUT IN THESE STREETS, IT’S ON SIGHT!
